Internationally known author and
motivational speaker Zig Ziglar will be honored at the dedication and
ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Zig
Ziglar Center for Ethical Leadership at Southern Nazarene University in
Bethany, Oklahoma on Friday, November 7, at 4 p.m. Located at 6729 NW
39th Expressway in the Royce Brown Building, the Ziglar Center
will honor the life and legacy of Zig Ziglar in partnership with the
Ziglar, Inc. of Dallas, Texas. Ziglar, Inc. and SNU are creating a new
forum and format for expanding the study of ethical leadership. The
dedication and ribbon cutting is open to the public and media.
The event will feature a number of speakers, including: Tom Ziglar, CEO, Ziglar Inc.; Mike Ingram, Principal, Eldorado Holdings; Hugh Morton, President, Peachtree Homes; Brad Moore, President, Hallmark Hall of Fame Productions; Ron Mercer, Past President, Xerox Canada, Founding Partner, Mercer Adams Funeral Home; Dr. Larry Lindsay, Chief of Staff, Indiana Wesleyan University; and Dr. Loren Gresham, President; Southern Nazarene University.
A birthday celebration will follow the ribbon-cutting with a birthday cake to be presented to Mr. Zig Ziglar.
The mission of the Ziglar Center is to be an academic center of
excellence for the study and practice of ethical leadership. In so
doing, the Ziglar Center honors the life and legacy of Zig Ziglar with
the vision of developing a cadre of world-changing leaders who think
with clarity, act with integrity, and serve with purpose. The center
seeks to serve four key constituencies - students, professionals, “for
profit” and “not-for-profit” organizations.
Over time the Zig Ziglar Center for Ethical Leadership at Southern Nazarene University will be a center for excellence for:
• Ethical Leadership Training and Development
• Undergraduate Leadership Formation
• Graduate Ethical Leadership Education
• Ethical Leadership Research
The Ziglar Center for Ethical Leadership is the result of a
collaborative effort between Southern Nazarene University and Ziglar,
Inc. of Addison, Texas. The center is a not-for-profit,
interdisciplinary academic center housed at Southern Nazarene
University in Bethany, Oklahoma (Greater Oklahoma City). Southern
Nazarene University is a Christian liberal arts college located in
Bethany, Oklahoma. Started in 1899, it is accredited by the North
Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the
Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.
